Yorkie Pom Owner Interview
On this page we feature an interview with Tori Gulisano, owner of Ebby, a female Yorkie Pom.
Can you tell us who you are and where you live?
Ebby’s parents are Danny and Tori Gulisano, we live in North Fort Myers, FL
How long have you owned a Yorkie Pom?
For almost 3 years
Where did you buy her from?
We found her on Craigslist from a private breeder while searching for a Yorkie Poo.
From your experience what makes this breed so special?
Small, loving and extremely smart
What type of personality/temperament do they have?
Feisty, stubborn, playful, loves to cuddle and ride in her leopard stroller
I believe the Yorkie Pom is quite a popular dog on social media/Internet these days, can you tell us how this started?
I believe it started when celebrities started showing off their expensive little designer dogs!
What are your feeding routines, such as how often and what types of food do you feed the Yorkie Pom?
Ebby gets fed in the morning and when we eat at night, we feed her wet and dry dog food but most of the time she eats what we eat.
Have you encountered any health issues?
Ebby has nystagmus where her right eye constantly flickers which we were told is a nervous condition so instead of seeing one object she sometimes sees 2 or 3 and because of that she bumps into walls and doors if she is in an unfamiliar place. Our vet told us she could have been born with this but that it is also possible that someone may have kicked or injured her before we acquired her.
Obviously grooming is another major aspect of owning a Yorkie Pom, can you offer any tips, advice and popular accessories for your Yorkie Pom?
They shed A LOT so brushing and bathing is a MUST for this breed.
Any other useful tips and advice that you can offer to potential new owners?
Have lots of toys on hand because they love to play, Ebby loves her squeaky toys and loves to annoy us with constant squeaking and she KNOWS she’s doing it lol.
Thanks Tori for this wonderful interview and for sharing the photos of Ebby. If you want to find out more, you can visit this page:

Claire Masters says
My daughter has been asking for a puppy as a gift for her 7th birthday. Thanks for mentioning that Yorkie breeds shed a lot of fur so brushing and bathing constantly is needed to maintain it. There are really cute so I might get in touch with a breeder to inquire if this kind of puppy is a good fit for my girl.
