Lynn M Porges says
I truly believe I rescued this breed from the pound..his name was Lucky and belonged to a man who lived alone with 3 dogs. He passed away and they found homes for the othe two and put Lucky in the Yolo County Ca. Pound in Woodland. They said he was 1 yr. and nuderd the day before..we absolutely love this dog! Was watching the dog show and decided to do more research than I had previously . Out of the blue I made up the name Dachsalier never knowing they were an actual hybrid. Funny huh? Boy do I feel ” Lucky ” now that I have found these websites. Yours seems most interesting.
